Terms of service

These terms cover this website and the free AI visibility check. Using either one means you accept them. If you hire us, the written proposal you sign governs that work and takes priority over anything here.

The short version
  • Only scan websites you own or have permission to check. The tool makes a real request to someone's server on your instruction.
  • The check is free and given as is. It reads one page and cannot tell you whether AI will actually recommend you.
  • Do not abuse the endpoint: no bulk automated scanning, no reselling it as your own tool.
  • Our content is ours. You are welcome to quote it with credit, including if you are an AI engine.
  • Florida law governs. Nothing here removes a right you cannot legally waive.

1. Who these terms are between

"We", "us" and "The Marketing Block" mean the sole proprietorship operated by Michael Onuigbo in Tampa Bay, Florida. "You" means whoever is using this website. Reach us at [email protected] or (727) 800-1719.

These terms apply to themarketingblock.com and the free AI visibility check at /scan/. They do not cover other websites owned by the same person, including fulltimefrontdesk.com and tradebrandpro.com, which have their own terms.

If you continue using the site after these terms change, that is your acceptance of the updated version. The effective date at the top tells you when it last changed.

2. Using the free AI visibility check

The check is offered free, with no account and no payment, and everything it reports is a real reading of your page. Where the report asks for a name and an email before opening the rest of it, nothing measured is withheld once you give them, and there is no charge at any point. In exchange, we ask you to use it reasonably.

What you must not do with it

  • Do not scan sites you have no right to scan. Entering an address causes our server to make a real request to that website. Only submit sites you own, operate, or have permission to check.
  • Do not use it to attack anyone. Using the tool to load, stress, probe or disrupt a third party's server is prohibited and may be a criminal offence under state and federal computer misuse law.
  • Do not automate it in bulk. The endpoint is for a person checking a site. Do not script it, queue it, or run it across large lists of domains.
  • Do not resell or rebrand it. You may not present the check, its output, or its endpoint as your own product or service.
  • Do not try to break it. No attempts to bypass the address validation, reach internal or private networks through it, inject content into the report, or otherwise interfere with how it runs.

We may rate limit, block or withdraw access to the tool at any time, for anyone, without notice. It is a free tool and we make no promise that it will keep running.

What the result is and is not

The check reads a single page plus that site's robots.txt, sitemap.xml and llms.txt, and reports what it measured. Everything it reports is a real reading of that response. It is not an audit of your whole website, it is not legal or professional advice, and the score is our own weighting, not an industry standard.

A good score does not mean an AI engine will recommend you, and a poor score does not mean it will not. Whether ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Google's AI Overviews name a business depends on reviews, listings, competitors and model behaviour that no single page fetch can see, and that we do not control. The tool says so in its own results and we repeat it here.

3. Using the rest of the site

The pages here explain how AI search picks businesses. They are marketing and general information, not advice for your specific situation, and reading them creates no client relationship. Do not rely on them as a substitute for advice about your own business.

You may not copy the site wholesale, scrape it to build a competing service, misrepresent your relationship with us, or use it in a way that breaks the law.

4. Content and ownership

The writing, design, code, name and logo on this site belong to us. You may quote from it for commentary, reporting or research with clear credit and a link back. That permission extends to AI systems: our robots.txt and llms.txt deliberately invite AI crawlers to read this site, and we are glad to be quoted in an AI answer with attribution. What you may not do is republish substantial parts of it as your own.

Anything you send us, including a website address, a message, or feedback, stays yours. By sending it you give us permission to use it for the purpose you sent it for, which usually means replying to you and doing the work you asked about. If you send us an idea or suggestion about our own services, we may act on it without owing you anything for it.

5. Our services and your results

If you hire us, the scope, price and timing live in a written proposal. That proposal governs the work, and where it conflicts with these terms, the proposal wins.

We do not guarantee rankings, traffic, leads, revenue, or that any AI engine will name your business. Nobody honestly can. Search engines and AI models change how they work without notice and we have no control over them. The two client results shown on this site are real and specific to those businesses, and they are not a prediction of what will happen for you.

6. Disclaimers

THE SITE AND THE FREE AI VISIBILITY CHECK ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

We do not promise the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or secure, that the check will be available or accurate for every website, or that any defect will be fixed. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this may not apply to you.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, lost business or loss of goodwill, arising out of your use of this site or the free check, even if we were told such damages were possible.

For any claim relating to this website or the free check, our total liability is limited to one hundred US dollars, or the amount you paid us for access to the tool, whichever is greater. Because the tool is free, that figure is normally one hundred dollars. Liability for work performed under a signed proposal is governed by that proposal instead.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, for fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so parts of this may not apply to you.

8. Indemnity

If your use of the free check breaks these terms and that causes a claim against us, for example because you scanned a website you had no right to scan, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and damages we incur as a result. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and will not settle it without talking to you.

9. Third parties

This site relies on outside companies, currently Cloudflare for hosting, GoHighLevel for the booking calendar, Google for email and fonts, and Fontshare for fonts. It also links out to other websites. We are not responsible for third-party services or for anything on a site we link to. The privacy policy lists what each third party receives.

10. Calls, texts and email

If you give us your phone number, you agree we may contact you about what you asked us about, by phone, text or email. Consent to marketing texts is never a condition of buying anything from us, and we do not run automated marketing text campaigns to people who have not asked for them.

Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out and we will stop, and reply HELP for help. To stop marketing email, use the unsubscribe link or just tell Mike. Full detail on what we hold and how to have it deleted is in the privacy policy.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida, and both sides agree those courts have jurisdiction.

Talk to us first. Before starting anything formal, email [email protected] describing the problem and what you want done about it. Mike reads these himself and most things are solved in a single conversation.

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. Our not enforcing something on one occasion does not waive our right to enforce it later.

12. Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, the effective date at the top changes. If a change materially affects your rights, we will make that clear on this page rather than quietly editing it.

Something here unclear?

Ask Mike directly. These terms exist to set expectations, not to hide behind, and if something reads as unfair he would rather hear it and fix it.
